How events can help us live longer

If you live in Australia, you will know that the last siren sounded for another year with the Richmond Tigers and the Melbourne Storm having their towers as the winners. However, in a surprisingly short time, most of us will have forgotten who won. So, what to gain from these events other than a little entertainment and the opportunity to demonstrate the Chaise Lounge experience?

The big finals and other sporting events can be good for us. After all, one of the many things we must do to live a longer and better life, even for the players in the different big finals, is to always make sure we have something to look forward to. It’s as if Will Rogers said, “Even if you’re on the right track, it will crush you if you sit there.”

Everyone must stay focused on the main game; and for most of us, it’s probably not a sporting event. It is important to achieve a level of fitness, exercise regularly and control weight, but none of them is necessarily indicative of focusing on the BIG problem. The important thing is to live a longer and better life, and everything must be in that direction. As Stephen King said: “Take care of your life or be careful with death”.

Moderate amounts of activity can add up to three years to life, so exercise must be maintained long after the final siren. Although we may never get the results we got when we were younger, longevity is available to all of us with a little effort. However, there is more to living a longer and better life than exercise and muesli. Fitness and food are important, but you also need to organize your finances, have fun and believe, and use all kinds of events to remind us of the importance of having a future and building and maintaining friendships.
